If I have hearing loss in my right ear due to nerve damage?

Mandy Cat asked:

Would I be able to hear better when I “pop” my ears by pinching my nose & blowing? It seems to me that if I had nerve damage, no matter what I do, I’d still have trouble hearing , right?

Well, yes and no. If you have nerve damage effecting the quality of hearing in your right ear — yet you still hear *some* level of accoustics/noise then it is still achieving a jump across the synpase(s). It isn’t complete in other words..

So, anything you can do to clear up the incoming sounds (ie: regulating pressure, cleaning out ear wax, taking your finger out of your ear :) ) — will still have an effect on your hearing.

It might be very minute, not even worth it.. but it should be fairly easy to test.

Hearing loss is just that, a loss,it cant be restored. You can pop your ears for relief.
